Mayfair Townhouse Mayfair Townhouse Entrance Hall, Drawing Room, Dining Room, Family Room, Snug + Meeting Space In the summer of 2025 Barlow & Barlow were appointed to re-imagine this splendid townhouse in a prime central London location. Transforming the expansive spaces into family environments for hosting, relaxing and living. The project had a turnaround of mere weeks so required our contacts in the antiques world to assist heavily. This created a wonderfully eclectic and rich selection from crystal chandeliers to a 17th century fabric wall painting hung in the dining room. We were conscious to strike the balance of old and new – mindful that this was family home with young children with a need to breathe fresh energy into the space. We kept the primary entertaining spaces formal with plenty of colour and print and moved into a more neutral, modern palette as we moved upstairs into the primary family rooms. A stunning and contemporary three-metre long vintage Studio Glustin sofa takes centre stage in the family room and works as a perfect juxtaposition against the decorative friezes.
