Nestled in the grounds of the sumptuous Kin House in Wiltshire, lies an inviting and playful outdoor pool and landscaped surroundings. After the success of the private hotel we wanted to create a wonderfully English pocket of escapism with a nod to the cool, relaxed Mediterranean lifestyle overlooked by a wonderfully quaint, hand-shelled Folie.

The iconic checked rugs of kin are echoed in the pool tiles, inviting you into the turquoise waters. The pool is flanked with bespoke sun loungers and parasols for reclining after a couple of leisurely lengths in the 21m pool. Two outdoor showers encased by reclaimed pergolas which, over time, will allow the trailing Jasmine to wind up and create an aromatic, enclosed covering lead the way through to the Folie and changing area. Designed closely with our good friends at Mel Campion & Daughters who artfully hand laid each shell to create an enchanting facade to the once forgotten and run down out-house. Inside, taking inspiration from Moroccan hammans we used a terracotta plaster to warm the space, adding reclaimed sinks and Murano glass mirrors in the twin powder room.
